My grandmother suggested that you bring the water to a rolling boil. Add enough salt, so that if you taste the water , it tastes like sea water. Add pasta, as in, long regular pasta. Stir to keep separate, by using your pasta spork to lift and jiggle the pasta. Cover and shut off the burner for at least 5 minutes. Fool proof! It never over cooks this way. Enjoy!
